i went to Border's tonight. its nice when i get to pick out my own xmas presents. i got a cd of cello music (hello, my name's amanda and i'm a nerd. hi amanda!), and a book that i can't remember the name of. plus i picked out some books for my brother. i got him a book on the history of the celtic warriors. truthfully i got it because i wanted to read it. such is the way of xmas: buy other people books that you want to read so you get to borrow it from them.

found a book for alice also. she likes smut books. and vampire books. i figure if i can find her a smutty vampire book she'd be incredibly happy. and i got her some tarot cards, so that's cool.

a few minutes before i got ready to leave, the Cute Book Store Girl (who i'll just call CBSG) working there popped in this cd of techo. that made me so happy cuz annoying holiday music was playing. it was so funny seeing the faces of the other customers when they heard the music.. they were all like "huh?" it was classic. but i suppose you had to be there. i started chatting with CBSG about the music, and i was all flirty and stuff. yay me :-) i came very close to asking her out for coffee, but sadly i didn't. i dont' remember why i didn't.. hmph.

right now i'm listening to "teenage angst" by placebo. i -heart- placebo.
