something touched me deep inside, the day the music died
11.06.02 - 12:33 a.m.

i'll be 20 in 15 days. yay me.

i had to do math to figure that out because, technically, its the 6th right now. and my birthday is on the 21st. and i almost wrote 16 days, but that would have been wrong. so. math. has its advantages i suppose.

did you vote today? if so, good for you. if not, good for you. i didn't vote either, but thats because i've been a lazy bastard and haven't registered (in the past year and a half).

i haven't told you about the records i bought saturday at an estate in hastings. 20 albums for $10.

and not crappy albums either. amongst my purchases: madonna's 'true blue' & 'like a virgin' (when she was good! yay!), simon and garfunkel 'bridge over troubled water', don mclean 'american pie' & the woodstock album (both originals, none of that re-issue crap).

when i showed mom the don mclean and woodstock albums, she said "those are mine! i had those when i was a kid!"

also, she said that to get the right experience while listening to the woodstock album, i should be: burning incense, smoking pot and/or doing acid, drinking boone's farm, playing in mud pits, and making with the free lovin'.

right then. i know what i'm doing with my days off from now on.
